When the exorcist shrine maiden Yashiro Mamori is asked to go to a village, she is confronted by the sound of a horse neighing, followed by the disappearance of young women.

After hearing the legend of the headless horse that is passed down in the village from the village priest, Mamori believes that the headless horse monster is responsible for the mischief.

In order to save the missing young women, Mamori heads to the mountain where the legend of the horse remains.
