On his way home from university, the protagonist, Hayato Kikuchi, encounters a scene where a girl suddenly jumps out onto the road, chasing a cat. Just then, a truck comes speeding towards them, and in a panic, he dives onto the road to save the girl and the cat.

As a result, the girl and the cat were saved, but Hayato suffered a serious injury: complex fractures in both arms, requiring six months to fully recover. Appearing before the despairing Hayato was the girl whose life he saved, Airi Kusunoki. To his surprise, Airi says she will take care of absolutely everything for Hayato.
