University student Shiina Kotori returns home to her family's business inn for the first time in a long while during her summer vacation. Waiting for her there was her mother-in-law, Yoaoi, with a puzzled look on her face.

The inn is now being used as a dormitory for a certain company and Yoaoi seems to feel guilty about that. I can't help but be grateful to Yoaoi for trying so hard to protect the ryokan, but there's something wrong with her.
