A mysterious girl encountered in the forest held the key (recipe) to small happiness. The protagonist is the (future) third-generation owner of a ramen shop. His shop was thriving, but his father, the second-generation owner, wore a troubled expression.

Long-time customers said the second generation's ramen was exquisite. However, they said the ramen made by the first generation (the protagonist's grandfather) had a mysterious charm. This was the reason for the second generation's troubled expression.

The protagonist remembered something his grandfather had told him before his death, prefacing it with, "Keep this a secret from your father." "In the mountains to the west, a mysterious place…ramen made with ingredients gathered there has an indescribable power (flavor)." To cheer up his father and to find the place his grandfather had spoken of in his childhood, the protagonist embarked on a small adventure.

In the mountains his grandfather had mentioned, a little girl was waiting. "I think you can make something incredibly delicious, big brother."

The little girl smiled innocently.
