About the Coming of Age Ritual-----------------------------

By making a "demon's contract" and granting the wish of a human, the demon receives the human's soul. After 24 hours, if the demon obtains the human's soul, the ritual is complete. Although demons cannot lay a finger on the human world, if they bring upon disaster by granting a human's wish, their status in the demon world rises.

The demon must continue granting the human's wish for 24 hours. If the demon fails to do so, no matter how high their status is, they are forced to become a slave, the lowest social standing.
